Vintage Voyage (20x20in, oil on wood)

Open Destination (20x20in, oil)
The light rose in the morning sky. Filled with colors and a bright light, I move through space, cross the valleys, and climb the mountain peaks. I once walked the mortal ground. Now I can fly.

The Growing Hardship of Freedom (36x60in, oil)
The world is in the continuous state of impermanence and fragility of the human experience. We dream of a liberty goddess lighting the torch of freedom that wears a crown, symbolic of the seven continents and seas. The brightness of the flame carries far and wide and reaches every corner of humanity. However, there exists this unthinkable space in terms of the rule of law, human rights and democracy, that fails to apply to everyone. Liberty is still young, and there is much to learn and much needed improvement before the torch can be bright and strong. There still exists much pain and struggle before our liberty goddess grows to full maturity.

Tourch of Liberty (36x48in, oil)
During the long human struggle for existence, freedom has been rare, and its triumphs have fallen upon just the minorities that prevailed. No obstacle has been so constant throughout history. From the first gathering of ancient men to the modern political complexity of our time, it is not always apparent the natural drive embedded in our genes for survival and liberty, and the difficulty of such achievements. The United States is the vehicle for providing a path towards a better life and moral individualism. It is a momentous step in the progress of the principle that every interest should have the right and the means of asserting itself. Regardless of when, who, or where, lighting the torch of liberty comes from the fire that burns from within. The United States is the place in which that flame will light strongly. It is a nation bound together by a shared commitment to the republican principles of individual liberty and equality. The perseverance of that fire, despite some fevered efforts of severance, has made the United States a model for freedom and human rights around the globe, and mountain of people will ensure that the torch stay lit.
